Mrs. Lovella S. D. Pollar entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 3, 2026. A New Orleans native, she graduated from McDonogh No. 35 High School. She was the daughter of the late Lucien and Albertha Mackey Dabon. Loving mother of Pamela K. Pollar (Alfred), Linda P. (Clifford H.) Adams, and Deanna P. (Curry J.) Reed. Bonus Mother to Patricia N. (Shannon Sr.) Stevenson and children Hailey Flint and Shannon Stevenson Jr. Godmother of Patricia L. McGruder. Grandmother of Linnet Adams, Corey, Colby, Caleb, and the late Cierra Reed. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Predeceased by husband William J. Pollar; brothers Erwin Riley Sr., James Sr., John Sr., Jules Dabon Sr., and Joseph Darbon Sr.; and sisters Naomi Williams, Vernice Lymous, Grace Heim, and Muriel Marrero. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service held at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, 2008 Marigny St., on Saturday, July 18, 2026, for 10:00 A.M., Rev. Donald C. Jeanjacques Sr., pastor, officiating. Church visitation from 8:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum.Rev. David M.
