Florence Ellen Hayes peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence Anderson and Mary Ward Hayes. Florence is survived by her siblings Elder John (late Clara) Hayes Jr., Clarence (Constance) Anderson Jr., Alvin (Marilyn) Hayes, Carol Anderson, and Mary H. Knight. She is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, along with pastors, officers, and members of Second Baptist Church Sixth District, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, and Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church, as well as the priest and parishioners of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, and members of First District Missionary Baptist Association-Usher Auxiliary and Community Fellowship Auxiliary-Usher Auxiliary, Employees of NOPD 911 Communications Division, Staff of Loving Hearts, Staff of Passages Hospice Care, invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, June 13, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church Sixth District, located at 4218 Laurel Street, with Pastor Samuel Gibbs Jr. officiating.
