Arthann Lawrence was born on August 19, 1956, to the union of Arthur Lawrence, Jr., and Anna Keasley Lawrence in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She was called home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2023. Arthann grew up in Belle Rose, Louisiana with her grandparents. In her early years she attended schools in Ascension Parish.  She later returned home and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1974. She worked in the customer service and the hostility industry. She  loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age at the St. Charles  Baptist Church in Paincourtville, LA.  She later joined Israelite Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Martin B. Fortner, Sr.  Under the leadership of  Dr. Emanuel Smith, Jr., she was an active member of the Youth Department, Pastor Support Ministry, Church Anniversary,  Family & Friend Celebration and loved overseeing “Pew Rallies.”  Arthann loved her church and remained a devoted member until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Patsy Watson. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Arthur (Jasmine), Arkesha (Darrell), Coanna (Diaron); grandchildren, Damonesha,   Artrell, Arkisha, Ronald, Brent Jr., Arthur, Ra’Mya, Ar’Darrell, A’riyah, Armani and Ar’mon; great grandchildren, Khyree Scott and Kharter Battle; one brother Will Bias; nephew, Patrick Watson and Johnny Lawrence; a niece, Chandon Watson, her cousin Celia Turner; two God-children; her great friends Charmaine Baker-Fox, Erma Jones and Annie Bell Lewis McGee; a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, June 9, 2023 beginning 10:00 a.m., at Israelite Baptist Church, 2100 Martin Luther King Blvd., Dr. Emmanuel Smith, pastor, officiating. Church visitation from 9:00 a.m.  until the hour of service. Interment St. Charles Baptist Church Cemetery, Paincoutville, LA.
