Andrew Joseph, Jr., a native of New Orleans, LA, entered eternal rest unexpectedly in Riverview, FL on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Beloved husband of Deanna Hardy Joseph. Father of the late Andrew Joseph III (“PeeWee”) and Deja Marie Joseph (“Twinky”). Son of the late Elder Deacon Andrew Joseph, Sr. and Missionary Geraldine Joseph. Brother of Deidra J. Ramsey (Rev. James) and Adrian W. Joseph (Sirella). Preceded in death by sisters Prophetess Des Marie Peters and Co-Pastor Diane Shields. Andrew was a graduate of Grambling State University, where he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees and played football under legendary Coach Eddie Robinson. He devoted his life to mentorship, education, advocacy, and community service as a coach, educator, Assistant Principal, and Care Coordinator serving the unhoused through Tampa Family Health Centers. Upon his passing he worked for BLM Grassroots as the founding Rapid Response Coordinator. Relatives and friends of the family; also pastor, officers, and members of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, 2008 Marigny St., New Orleans, LA 70117. Rev. Donald C. Jeanjacques Sr., pastor officiating. Viewing 8:00 AM –10:00 AM. Funeral Service begins at 10:00 AM. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 2050 Canton St., New Orleans, LA 70122.
